John 8:1
ܝܶܫܽܘܥ   ܕ݁ܶܝܢ   ܐܶܙܰܠ   ܠܛܽܘܪܳܐ   ܕ݁ܙܰܝܬ݁ܶܐ   ܀  
yešūᶜ dēn ᵓezzal ləṭūrā dəzaytē .
Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
John 8:2
ܒ݁ܨܰܦ݂ܪܳܐ   ܕ݁ܶܝܢ   ܬ݁ܽܘܒ݂   ܐܶܬ݂ܳܐ   ܠܗܰܝܟ݁ܠܳܐ   ܘܟ݂ܽܠܶܗ   ܥܰܡܳܐ   ܐܳܬ݂ܶܐ   ܗ݈ܘܳܐ   ܠܘܳܬ݂ܶܗ   ܘܟ݂ܰܕ݂   ܝܳܬ݂ܶܒ݂   ܡܰܠܶܦ݂   ܗ݈ܘܳܐ   ܠܗܽܘܢ   ܀  
bəṣaprā dēn toḇ ᵓeṯā ləhaykəlā wəḵullēh ᶜammā ᵓāṯē (h)wā ləwāṯēh wəḵaḏ yāṯeḇ mallep (h)wā ləhon .
And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
John 8:3
ܐܰܝܬ݁ܺܝܘ   ܕ݁ܶܝܢ   ܣܳܦ݂ܪܶܐ   ܘܰܦ݂ܪܺܝܫܶܐ   ܠܰܐܢ݈ܬ݁ܬ݂ܳܐ   ܕ݁ܶܐܬ݁ܬ݁ܰܚܕ݁ܰܬ݂   ܒ݁ܓ݂ܰܘܪܳܐ   ܘܟ݂ܰܕ݂   ܐܰܩܺܝܡܽܘܗ   ܒ݁ܰܡܨܰܥܬ݂ܳܐ   ܀  
ᵓaytī(w) dēn sāprē waprīšē la(ᵓ)(n)təṯā de(ᵓ)ttaḥdaṯ bəǥawrā wəḵaḏ ᵓaqqīmūh bamṣaᶜṯā .
And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
John 8:4
ܐܳܡܪܺܝܢ   ܠܶܗ   ܡܰܠܦ݂ܳܢܳܐ   ܗܳܕ݂ܶܐ   ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ܬ݂ܳܐ   ܐܶܬ݁ܬ݁ܰܚܕ݁ܰܬ݂   ܓ݁ܰܠܝܳܐܝܺܬ݂   ܒ݁ܶܗ   ܒ݁ܣܽܘܥܪܳܢܳܐ   ܕ݁ܓ݂ܰܘܪܳܐ   ܀  
ᵓāmrīn lēh malpānā hāḏē ᵓa(n)təṯā ᵓettaḥdaṯ galyā(ᵓ)yiṯ bēh bəsūᶜrānā dəǥawrā .
They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
John 8:5
ܘܰܒ݂ܢܳܡܽܘܣܳܐ   ܕ݁ܶܝܢ   ܕ݁ܡܽܘܫܶܐ   ܦ݁ܰܩܶܕ݂   ܕ݁ܰܠܕ݂ܰܐܝܟ݂   ܗܳܠܶܝܢ   ܢܶܪܓ݁ܽܘܡ   ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁   ܗܳܟ݂ܺܝܠ   ܡܳܢܳܐ   ܐܳܡܰܪ   ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁   ܀  
waḇnāmūsā dēn dəmūšē paqqeḏ dalḏa(ᵓ)yḵ hālēn nergūm ᵓa(n)t hāḵīl mānā ᵓāmar ᵓa(n)t .
Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
John 8:6
ܗܳܕ݂ܶܐ   ܐܶܡܰܪܘ   ܟ݁ܰܕ݂   ܡܢܰܣܶܝܢ   ܠܶܗ   ܐܰܝܟ݁ܰܢܳܐ   ܕ݁ܬ݂ܶܗܘܶܐ   ܠܗܽܘܢ   ܕ݁ܰܢܩܰܛܪܓ݂ܽܘܢܳܝܗ݈ܝ   ܝܶܫܽܘܥ   ܕ݁ܶܝܢ   ܟ݁ܰܕ݂   ܠܬ݂ܰܚܬ݁   ܐܶܬ݂ܓ݁ܗܶܢ   ܡܰܟ݂ܬ݁ܶܒ݂   ܗ݈ܘܳܐ   ܥܰܠ   ܐܰܪܥܳܐ   ܀  
hāḏē ᵓemmar(w) kaḏ mənassēn lēh ᵓaykannā dəṯehwē ləhon danqaṭrəǥūnāy(hy) yešūᶜ dēn kaḏ ləṯaḥt ᵓeṯgəhen maḵteḇ (h)wā ᶜal ᵓarᶜā .
This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
John 8:7
ܟ݁ܰܕ݂   ܕ݁ܶܝܢ   ܟ݁ܰܬ݁ܰܪܘ   ܟ݁ܰܕ݂   ܡܫܰܐܠܺܝܢ   ܠܶܗ   ܐܶܬ݂ܦ݁ܫܶܛ   ܘܶܐܡܰܪ   ܠܗܽܘܢ   ܐܰܝܢܳܐ   ܡܶܢܟ݂ܽܘܢ   ܕ݁ܺܐܝܬ݂ܰܘܗ݈ܝ   ܕ݁ܠܳܐ   ܚܛܳܗ   ܢܶܫܕ݁ܶܐ   ܥܠܶܝܗ   ܟ݁ܺܐܦ݂ܳܐ   ܀  
kaḏ dēn kattar(w) kaḏ məša(ᵓ)llīn lēh ᵓeṯpəšeṭ we(ᵓ)mmar ləhon ᵓaynā menḵon di(ᵓ)yṯaw(hy) dəlā ḥəṭāh qaḏmāyā nešdē ᶜəlēh ki(ᵓ)pā .
So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
John 8:8
ܘܬ݂ܽܘܒ݂   ܟ݁ܰܕ݂   ܐܶܬ݂ܓ݁ܗܶܢ   ܟ݁ܳܬ݂ܶܒ݂   ܗ݈ܘܳܐ   ܥܰܠ   ܐܰܪܥܳܐ   ܀  
wəṯūḇ kaḏ ᵓeṯgəhen kāṯeḇ (h)wā ᶜal ᵓarᶜā .
And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
John 8:9
ܗܶܢܽܘܢ   ܕ݁ܶܝܢ   ܟ݁ܰܕ݂   ܫܡܰܥܘ   ܢܳܦ݂ܩܺܝܢ   ܗ݈ܘܰܘ   ܚܰܕ݂   ܚܰܕ݂   ܟ݁ܰܕ݂   ܫܰܪܺܝܘ   ܡܶܢ   ܩܰܫܺܝܫܶܐ   ܘܶܐܫܬ݁ܰܒ݂ܩܰܬ݂   ܐܰܢ݈ܬ݁ܬ݂ܳܐ   ܠܚܽܘܕ݂ܶܝܗ   ܟ݁ܰܕ݂   ܐܺܝܬ݂ܶܝܗ   ܒ݁ܰܡܨܰܥܬ݂ܳܐ   ܀  
hennon dēn kaḏ šəmaᶜ(w) nāpqīn (h)waw ḥaḏ ḥaḏ kaḏ šarrī(w) men qaššīšē we(ᵓ)štaḇqaṯ ᵓa(n)təṯā ləḥūḏēh kaḏ ᵓīṯēh bamṣaᶜṯā .
And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
John 8:10
ܟ݁ܰܕ݂   ܕ݁ܶܝܢ   ܐܶܬ݂ܦ݁ܫܶܛ   ܝܶܫܽܘܥ   ܐܶܡܰܪ   ܠܳܗ   ܠܰܐܢ݈ܬ݁ܬ݂ܳܐ   ܐܰܝܟ݁ܳܐ   ܐܺܝܬ݂ܰܝܗܽܘܢ   ܠܳܐ   ܐ݈ܢܳܫ   ܚܰܝܒ݂ܶܟ݂ܝ   ܀  
kaḏ dēn ᵓeṯpəšeṭ yešūᶜ ᵓemmar lāh la(ᵓ)(n)təṯā ᵓaykā ᵓīṯayhon lā (ᵓ)nāš ḥayḇeḵ(y) .
When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
John 8:11
ܗܳܝ   ܕ݁ܶܝܢ   ܐܶܡܪܰܬ݂   ܘܠܳܐ   ܐ݈ܢܳܫ   ܡܳܪܝܳܐ   ܐܶܡܰܪ   ܕ݁ܶܝܢ   ܝܶܫܽܘܥ   ܐܳܦ݂ܠܳܐ   ܐܶܢܳܐ   ܡܚܰܝܶܒ݂   ܐ݈ܢܳܐ   ܠܶܟ݂ܝ   ܙܶܠܝ   ܘܡܶܢ   ܗܳܫܳܐ   ܬ݁ܽܘܒ݂   ܠܳܐ   ܬ݁ܶܚܛܶܝܢ   ܀  
hāy dēn ᵓemraṯ wəlā (ᵓ)nāš māryā ᵓemmar dēn yešūᶜ ᵓāplā ᵓennā məḥayyeḇ (ᵓ)nā leḵ(y) zel(y) wəmen hāšā toḇ lā teḥṭēn .
She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
John 8:12
ܬ݁ܽܘܒ݂   ܕ݁ܶܝܢ   ܡܰܠܶܠ   ܥܰܡܗܽܘܢ   ܝܶܫܽܘܥ   ܘܶܐܡܰܪ   ܐܶܢܳܐ   ܐ݈ܢܳܐ   ܢܽܘܗܪܶܗ   ܕ݁ܥܳܠܡܳܐ   ܡܰܢ   ܕ݁ܒ݂ܳܬ݂ܰܪܝ   ܐܳܬ݂ܶܐ   ܠܳܐ   ܢܗܰܠܶܟ݂   ܒ݁ܚܶܫܽܘܟ݂ܳܐ   ܐܶܠܳܐ   ܢܶܫܟ݁ܰܚ   ܠܶܗ   ܢܽܘܗܪܳܐ   ܕ݁ܚܰܝܶܐ   ܀  
toḇ dēn mallel ᶜamhon yešūᶜ we(ᵓ)mmar ᵓennā (ᵓ)nā nūhrēh dəᶜālmā man dəḇāṯar(y) ᵓāṯē lā nəhalleḵ bəḥeššūḵā ᵓellā neškaḥ lēh nūhrā dəḥayyē .
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
